Review of Chapter 11 from my POV

Arthur Leywin locates himself in a carriage with a young fairy girl who has simply relaxed after being kidnapped. Despite the grim scene of monsters devouring remains close by, Arthur focuses on calming the girl, who is a little older than his four-year-old self. When she inquires about the fate of the “bad guys,” Arthur prevents reviewing the physical violence and instead tells her they had a crash. The magic she recites functions as a catalyst, drawing the haze right into the tree and exposing a huge, standalone wooden door– an entryway that appears to resist the all-natural order of the woodland. Tess’s actions are calculated, and she takes Arthur’s hand, leading him toward the door with a sense of urgency.

As the door opens, Arthur is struck by a feeling of remembrance, reminded of a previous encounter with a site. Despite his knowledge of such transitions, the feeling of traveling through the site remains unsettling. They land delicately on the other side, and Arthur’s first impulse is to look for the rock provided to him by Sylvia, ensuring its security. With the rock protected, Arthur enables himself to lastly observe their environments, taking in the brand-new world they have gone into.
